https://kpward.wordpress.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/06/blog-account-information-kpw-for-ENG-225.docx.blog account information, KPW for ENG 225. Keep reading down the document as my ideas and web links are found within the document. I have gone back into the file and updated the section headings so everyone can follow along. The most we have for horror are “Buffy, the Vampire Slayer, the Pilot episode, and The Haunted Mansion.” For history “Dinosaurs, and The Patriot” with a few old John Wayne movies scattered in the “collection.” The westerns came from the family auction during my husband’s paternal reunion. Sorrow category:”The Five People You Meet In Heaven.”
We enjoy a good many movies of all different types. In this case I chose Mary Poppins for the blog entry as far as the Ashford ENG 225 class is concerned. I had some very strong brainstorming options from the text book reading that triggered ideas I possibly could work with to complete the week’s homework assignments. The lighting involved were great big flood lights, spotlights; with scenes requiring the occasional transparent blue or red lights; or transparent coverings over said lights, to create the colors for the evening and the outdoor “Step In Time” musical number found in the (1965 Disney) movie created from Mrs. Travvers children’s book. One would think that I would have known this story from the start, as to who the original creation with the book was, and perhaps earlier in my childhood I had maybe heard the author mentioned once, it would have been long ago and before much of my photogenic memory was as active as it has been though much of my youth and adult life. Enjoy the movie trailer(s) and as you do, you will find my brainstorming flashes of ideas, I am taking notes and looking up the scholarly sources to be prepared to use, as needed, when needed. I hope in the gentle forms of movies I chose one will find the inspiration that will help each of you figure out ideas for yourselves.
In doing the research for this week’s blog assignment; the search to find out the lighting information, took quite a bit of research to locate. It was quite a feat to locate the original information After a full day of research for not just the blog, the assignment, and the discussion, I was surprised to find the backstage footage of where the original story that a Disney employee read to their kids. As a writer myself, I was amused by the whole story, and it leaves me with hope that my poetry and such will pay off. I figure if I can get the readership out there and get enough people wanting it, that sooner or later people will want to buy copies of my poetry and the two short stories I have. I have had many small awards for the poetry and been plagiarized by Vice President, Al Gore, in August of 1997, when I worked inside Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming. I have signed many autographs during the two years following the initial fame. I hope all who read my poems will enjoy the poetry and hopefully if enough people like it, that people will want copies for themselves at which point I hope I start seeing my written creativity once again; not only return to the long ago status, but also that people will want to buy the poetry stemming from the easy genetic capability that runs within me. These poetic flare sessions are fleeting so when they occur I try to jot down the flowing ideas, which then can be refined and polished at a later time. This is similar to what film makers and artists of all kinds go though. First the story is brought to the attention of imagineers within companies and conglomerates like Disney, then the imagineers go to work to create artistically based around these ideas, like having a spring board to leap forward with. Once enough of a back story is completed, then the computer graphics, the artists can work with the ideas, and then all the stunt people get involved for the choreography and the computer animators and such begin their work. As they finish up. the work is then edited and all aspects come together to refine the final product. This is the same type of process a writer or poet goes through in connecting the spark of inspiration turning it into the raging warm camp fire that all love. The refinement process is never easy and many times the sketchy ideas which flash through often have to find the complete thought and sentence structure. For poetry, there is some structure, but not as much as life and events or situations sometimes flow through us, and that leaves an impression. These impressions and insights or brilliant storms of inspiration flashing within us as we try to capture the essence of it, for ourselves and our world. We all express beauty, some in painting, some in film making, others by dancing, still others have the instruments that can virtually talk to you, and all other forms of art for the enjoyment of all. Enjoy what I have chosen to share. Read on dear reader, as you skim my word uploaded document, follow the page past the week one entry about the “Polar Express” to find the rest of the ideas and web addresses for the week’s homework. Have a good week everyone. Krward3849 Krystina
